PROUDLY EMPLOYEE OWNED SINCE 2010 Bob Moore and his wife, Charlee, founded Bob’s Red Mill in 1978 with the mission of building a company that would provide wholesome foods to folks around the world, and offer financial security to its employees. After succeeding beyond his wildest dreams, Bob took it one step further in 2010, when he created an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) that would give employees stock in the company. As of 2020, we’re 100% employee owned, one of only about 8,000 businesses in the country to achieve this incredible feat! Benefits of Employee Ownership As employee owners, we own our jobs! Today, we’re a 100% employee-owned company, and quality assurance is involved in one way or another in all processes, from development to distribution. Our Efforts Include: • Continuous improvement in our food safety programs, including Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) • Ongoing certification under the globally recognized Safe Quality Food (SQF) standard Food safety training for all our employees as part of their new hire orientation, as well as annual re-training
Our Certifications ORGANIC
KOSHER As a continued commitment to the quality of the products we make and sell, all of Bob’s Red Mill products have been certified Kosher by OK Kosher Certification of Brooklyn, New York since 1998. SQF The SQF System is a Food Safety Management System (FSMS), a set of requirements for integrated processes that work together to control and minimize food safety hazards.
We’ve been third-party certified organic by Quality Assurance International since 2002, to ensure our organic products are grown and produced according to the USDA’s National Organic Program. NON-GMO PROJECT VERIFIED Currently, more than 200 of our products have been verified with the Non-GMO Project since 2018. FAIR TRADE USA Select product are Fair Trade Certified as of 2019. This organization empowers farming communities to earn additional funds and invest them where they are most needed.
