QuickCooking Steel Cut Oats Bob’s Red Mill Founder and President, Bob Moore, still loves a bowl of hot oatmeal every morning, and for good reason: not only is it delicious and simple to make, but it’s packed with nutrition and easy to customize.
INGREDIENTS 1 cup Bob’s Red Mill ® Quick Cooking Steel Cut Oats or Organic Quick Cooking Steel Cut Oats 2 cups Water ¼ tsp Salt INSTRUCTIONS
• Bring water and salt to a boil. Add oats and turn heat to medium- low. Cover and cook for 5–7 minutes (depending on how thick and chewy you like your cereal), stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and let stand, covered, for 2 minutes.
Makes 4 servings.
SINGLE SERVING INSTRUCTIONS • Bring ½ cup water to a boil (with a pinch of salt, if desired). Add ¼ cup cereal, reduce heat to low, cover and let cook to desired consistency, stirring occasionally, 3–6 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand, covered, for 1–2 minutes. TOP IT OFF!
